Not required; first-time travelers accepted Job Description Seeking an experienced Pathologists' Assistant to support a busy surgical pathology laboratory. The position involves gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, primarily benign lesions and biopsies, with some oncology and research-related specimens. Key Responsibilities Perform gross examination and dissection of small biopsies and surgical specimens. Handle primarily benign surgical pathology cases. Gross colon cancer resections and native liver specimens as needed. Perform biopsy grossing based on staffing and workload. Assist with research procurement and tissue selection from products of conception (POCs) for karyotyping. May gross additional cancer cases transferred from another laboratory depending on workload. Document and manage specimens accurately using Epic/Beaker . Follow laboratory, safety, and specimen-handling protocols. Required Qualifications ASCP Pathologists' Assistant (PA) certification

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; education/clinical experience may count toward the requirement. Strong surgical pathology experience. Experience performing gross examination and dissection of small biopsies. Epic/Beaker experience preferred. Pathologists' Assistant experience is required; this is not a basic pathology assistant/lab assistant position . BI02

$3,000.00

Did you complete your Pathologists' Assistant education through a NAACLS-accredited program? How many years of Pathologists' Assistant experience do you have? Do you have hands-on experience in surgical pathology, including gross examination and dissection of biopsies and surgical specimens? Do you have experience grossing specimens such as colon resections, liver specimens, or cancer-related surgical specimens? Do you have experience using Epic/Beaker or another laboratory information system? Are you available to work 5×8-hour day shifts, 10:30 AM-7:30 PM, starting October 5, 2026, for a 13-week contract?
