JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the clinical and clerical support in the physician office. This includes, but is not limited to, patient assessment, vital signs, phlebotomy, urinalysis/body fluid specimens, EKG's, along with documentation, faxing, copying, and mailing records, completion of forms, scheduling of tests for patients; and pre-certifying patient visits/screenings. Clerical support for scheduling/reception of patients, registration, charging and initiation of new records; and maintenance of current records. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members. Adheres to organizational polices and procedures. Requirements Include Registered/Certified Medical Assistant required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years clerical and clinical experience preferred. Previous experience with registration, medical records and payors preferred. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
