Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure smooth administrative workflows within a fast-paced medical environment. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality healthcare services across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative setting where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in outpatient and inpatient settings. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) as needed. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient encounters, medical history, and treatment plans. Support medical administrative functions including appointment scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and maintaining medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various environments such as dermatology clinics, hospital units (including PICU or Geriatrics), emergency medicine settings, or surgical suites to deliver comprehensive patient care. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medical documentation standards. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management to ensure accurate data entry and retrieval. Proven ability to perform phlebotomy and medication administration with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse patient populations. Familiarity with hospital medicine practices including inpatient care, trauma center procedures (Level II trauma experience), emergency medicine protocols, and outpatient clinic workflows. Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures, internal medicine practices, geriatrics care principles, and specialized environments such as OR or PICU settings. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
