About us Spine Muscles Nerves is a small business in HEALTH_CARE_MEDICAL in Westerville, OH. We are professional and customer-centric.
Our work environment includes:
Modern office setting We are seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with phone systems and electronic medical records, and be able to handle a steady-paced environment.
Duties:
  • Handling phone calls from patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, and doctors offices, and directing them to the appropriate individual.
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
  • Assisting with insurance verification (prior authorizations) for medications and imaging orders
  • navigating insurance approvals and denials.
  • Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assisting medical staff with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors, and setting up breakfast and lunches.
  • Working with administration to help grow the practice, while working with a management company.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software, including electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical administrative assistant program or equivalent experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience with phone systems.
  • No criminal background due to specialty clinic setting.
