Job Description
Job Summary:
Assist providers and patients in a private Functional Medicine practice for IV's, injections, blood draws, appointments, checkout, patient portal, phones, etc. We are looking for someone who can work individually and within a team, has a positive attitude and calm demeanor to support patients and providers. We practice functional and orthomolecular medicine with treatment plans consisting of nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplements, injections, iv's, bioidentical hormones, detox protocols and more focusing on natural and holistic evidence based protocols. We are looking for someone with experience in this field, but will train a candidate with interest.Work Experience:
1 - 2 years' experience as a medical assistant preferred. Must be able to draw blood and administer injections. Experience starting and maintaining IV's preferred.Schedule:
We are currently looking for a Full Time MA for M-F 8:30-5.Overview:
Patient Records Patient Care Customer service Data Entry Payment Collection Referrals Responsible for: Scheduling Patient Appointments Collecting accurate patient information and registration Greeting and welcoming patients Efficient flow of appointments Prepare, review, and maintain patient medical records Assisting provider by taking vitals, charting, preparing tests, supplements and providing patient with instructions, injections, labs, tests, ivs, etc Timely Follow Ups Accurate check out of patient charges and printing any necessary documents or adding to patient portal Screening Patient questions and calls for provider Performing IM Injections, blood draws, administering IV's The right candidate is: Welcoming and friendly Compassionate and Empathetic Able to regulate emotions and work professionally Able to put patient care needs first Able to excel in a team environment Open to growth and developmentJob Requirements:
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and common medical instruments. Skilled in the taking of vital signs. Be able to work in a fast-paced setting Attention to detail and organization Uphold policies, procedures and protocols Demonstrate maturity and accountabilitySkills/Education:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or comparative medical training/ experience. Must be able to draw blood and perform injections. IV experience is preferred, but will train if none. Experience working as a medical assistant or other similar role/position in health and wellness.Job Type:
