In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations. Your expertise will help ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities Administrative:
Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage patient records. Maintain medical charts and electronic health records (EHR). Process insurance information and verify patient eligibility. Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and triage patient calls. Coordinate with laboratories, specialists, and other healthcare providers. Perform basic billing and collections duties.
Clinical:
Measure patient vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, weight). Prepare patients for examinations and treatments. Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with procedures. Administer medications and injections as directed by a healthcare provider. Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., urinalysis, rapid strep tests). Instruct patients on basic health practices and provide educational materials. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential is required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health records. Preferred Qualifications Experience with eclinical works is a plus but not required. Experience in a primary care setting.
