Job Description

This is a temporary, full-time Medical Assistant position in a mental health setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned) Administrative/Clerical Greet patients/visitors Answer phones/schedule appointments Fill out and submit insurance forms Establish and maintain patient charts File, update, keep Medical Records Clinical Prepare/maintain examination rooms Prepare patients for examinations Assist LMP during examinations Schedule/report laboratory work Maintain inventory and order medications Coordinate with LMP to obtain appropriate prescription medication for patients Possess knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, laboratory techniques, clinical procedures, and pharmaceutical principles Must be customer service oriented Ability to use medical equipment, computers, medical and office software Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure Maintain standards of confidentiality of Lifeways' clients and records Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with Lifeways, Oregon Administrative Rules, OSHA and
HIPAA/FERPA
regulations
Required:
High School Diploma/GED equivalent Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant course American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Valid driver's license Must pass a criminal background check
