Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated part-time Medical Assistant to support our dermatologist through a combination of clinical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of patient care principles, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities Patient Communication:
Manage patient inquiries via phone and messaging applications, including handling prescription updates, refill requests, pathology and lab results, and general care questions.
Insurance & Authorizations:
Process and submit prior authorizations for patient medications efficiently.
Clinical & Operational Support:
Provide compassionate, attentive, and confidential care to patients, ensuring strict adherence to privacy standards.
Task Management:
Execute individualized daily tasks and clinical assignments thoroughly and independently.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology or another outpatient medical setting is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent verbal/written communication, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
