Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you'll provide comprehensive support in outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring smooth clinical operations and exceptional patient experiences. Your expertise in medical procedures, administrative support, and clinical workflows will help foster a welcoming environment for patients and healthcare providers alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across diverse medical specialties, including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and hospital medicine. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature to assist clinicians in assessment. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) efficiently by documenting patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans with precision. Support physicians during procedures in various settings including outpatient clinics, hospital units, or surgical environments like the OR. Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and ensure timely communication of test results or treatment instructions. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols. Experience Prior experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, or plastic surgery and aesthetics is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with medical terminology and physiology knowledge. male Background working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, internal medicine patients, or those in medical-surgical units strengthens your qualifications. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are advantageous.
