Full Job Description Description:
We are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to work in the Medical Department at the Bucks County Department of Corrections in Doylestown, PA. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks such as medical records request, administrative reports, Continuity of Care (COC) release, and other medical duties.Job Duties:
Handles incoming phone calls from other departments and facilities. Schedules all outside appointments and consults Orders all supplies for the Medical Department Collects data for end of month reports Filing, faxing, and data entry. Scanning documents into the computer. Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Maintaining a staff log. Scheduling transports. Scanning medical files and responding to record requests. Working closely with the management team in the medical department to manage daily tasks. Maintaining examination and treatment areas Verification of medications and medical information Maintain medication records Answer telephone and processing calls Maintain filing system and confidentiality of information at all times Provide full administrative and clerical support to the medical department at the facility to include typing of various reports, letters and memorandum Data Entry Scanning documents into the computer Assisting with the credentialing process of new hires Maintain staff log Schedule transports Assist with billingBenefits:

The Medical Assistant must have completed an approved Medical Assistant program and also bring some clerical experience and ability to type to the position in order to be considered. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multi-tasking Good grasp of patient assessment skills Effective communication skills & pleasant telephone manner Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment Working knowledge of medical terminology Minimum of 2 years medical assistant or medical office administrative support. Strong computer skills (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) Strong organizations skills and attention to detail Ability to work with confidential matters and information is requiredBenefits
