Job Description
Medical Assistant (MA) - Make a Difference Every Day Berks Community Health Center | Berks County, PA Join a collaborative care team dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered healthcare. As a Medical Assistant at BCHC, you'll play a vital role in supporting providers, coordinating patient care, and helping improve the health of our community. Responsibilities Prepare patients and charts for appointments. Record vital signs, medical history, and assist with medication reconciliation. Assist providers during exams and procedures. Administer vaccines and perform CLIA-waived testing. Collect and document patient information in the electronic medical record. Coordinate follow-up care, referrals, and diagnostic testing. Participate in daily team huddles and support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives. Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards. Educate and support patients throughout their care journey. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or equivalent experience, if applicable). Current Medical Assistant certification preferred. BLS/CPR certification required. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
