The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and health regulation policies, with a commitment to providing compassionate, efficient support in a clinical setting. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, assisting healthcare providers, and delivering exceptional patient experiences through accurate medical documentation and effective communication. Duties Assist physicians and healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Collect patient history, measure vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations using medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Manage electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as triage assessments, blood draws, specimen collection, and administering first aid or CPR when necessary. Educate patients on disease prevention strategies, chronic disease management, and post-treatment care instructions. Support emergency care situations by providing immediate assistance following established protocols for acute care scenarios. Ensure compliance with health regulation policies by maintaining proper medical records and following safety procedures. Maintain proficiency in medical software applications for scheduling, documentation, and billing processes. Handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions with patients and staff. Participate in nursing leadership activities when required to coordinate patient care efforts within the team. Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare support role with exposure to both acute and chronic care environments. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes essential for effective patient care. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently. Familiarity with health regulation policies such as HIPAA to ensure compliance in all clinical activities. Prior experience performing triage assessments and emergency care procedures including CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Background in nursing or related healthcare fields is advantageous; leadership experience within nursing teams is preferred. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Strong organizational skills complemented by the ability to multitask effectively in busy clinical settings.
