Job Description:
- A Medical assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. This will involve caring for patients with acute and chronic needs. A Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.

- + Neurology + Orthopedics + Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation + Float Pool + InstaCare + OB/GYN _(caregivers may also rotate to the West Valley location)_ + Rheumatology + Endocrinology + Infusion + Cardiology + Family Medicine + Internal Medicine + LGBTQ+ Health + Pediatrics + Allergy + Dermatology + Ophthalmology + Surgical Specialists
Work Schedule:
- Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process and will vary based on department needs and available openings.
Hours:
- Most clinics operate during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, schedules may vary by department.

Providing Patient Care:
- Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient's visit and condition. +
Effective Communication:
- Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions. +
Team Collaboration:
- Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care. Attention to detail and follow through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.
- Minimum Qualifications
- + Current American Heart Association (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
- This position requires one of the following:
- + Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- ORat least one year of Medical Assistant work experienceORcurrent active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Montana + Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
- Physical Requirements
- + Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
