We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our pain management team. The ideal candidate will support healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to patients experiencing pain. This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our practice.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up care
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures
- Educate patients on treatment plans and medication management
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
