Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our Pediatric Gastroenterology team in the Brentwood-Cool Springs area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric patient care, clinical procedures, and medical administrative support. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for facilitating smooth clinic operations, supporting diagnostic procedures, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Responsibilities Assist pediatric gastroenterologists with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and adherence to safety protocols. Support clinical procedures including specimen collection and assisting with procedures as needed. Maintain comprehensive documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilization processes, and ensure clinical areas are clean and organized in compliance with safety standards. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and demonstrating empathy throughout the visit. Requirements Proven experience supporting pediatric or outpatient clinical environments. High School Diploma or Equivalent Possess a Degree, Diploma or Certificate of Completion from an accredited Medical Assistant training program (or accredited nursing program) or have a minimum of 1-year prior experience functioning as a Medical Assistant in a clinic/hospital setting, or completion of Medical Assistant type training in the armed services. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification If working as a float will need Valid TN Driver's License and Proof of Valid Automotive Insurance; Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling purposes; proficiency in managing intake processes and recording vital signs accurately. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy outpatient clinic environment. Excellent communication skills coupled with a professional demeanor that fosters trust and confidence among patients and team members. $18.50 - $26.00 per hour
