Job Description
Busy medical practice seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Medical Assistant certification or an active Practical Nursing license is preferred. Opportunity for Growth All clinical staff begin in triage to develop a strong understanding of patient flow and practice operations. As their skills and experience grow, employees may have opportunities to learn scribing, assist with in-office procedures, and eventually be assigned to work directly with a specific provider. Provider-assigned staff also perform important behind-the-scenes clinical work, including answering patient messages, processing prescription requests, coordinating referrals, sending orders, and serving as a primary point of contact for their provider's patients. Position Requirements This position requires travel between our Hixson, Chattanooga, and Cleveland locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided when traveling between two or more offices during the workday. Responsibilities Triage patients and obtain medical histories Assist physicians during examinations and in-office procedures Prepare and clean exam rooms Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments Scribe patient encounters as assigned Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Document accurately in the electronic medical record Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, hospitals, and coworkers Assist with clinical messages, prescription requests, referrals, and orders as responsibilities expand Qualifications Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) or active LPN license Previous Medical Assistant or LPN experience preferred Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency with electronic medical records Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented Willingness to travel between office locations as needed We are looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, eager to learn, and committed to providing exceptional patient care while growing professionally within our practice.
