Job Description

AdvancedHEALTH is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our growing team in the Williamson County area of Middle Tennessee. We promote a fun and friendly work environment. We encourage work/life balance. The Medical Assistant performs both clinical and clerical duties while working under the direction of a physician. This position is responsible for coordinating transactions both on the phone and in person with patients and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work as a Medical Assistant
  • Answer Nurses Phone line and responds promptly to urgent matters
  • Takes Medical Histories
  • Records Vital Signs
  • Opens office visit notes and starts the documentation for the provider
  • Explains treatment plans and obtains patient consent for procedure
  • Prepares patients for examination
  • Assists provider during examination
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Sterilize medical instruments
  • Keeps waiting and exam rooms neat and clean
  • Stocks exam rooms with necessary supplies Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to assist in office procedures
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
  • Must be able to interact professionally and politely with patients, staff, and doctors
  • Ability to take vitals and patient history
  • Utilize various computer technologies for patient information input
  • Ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions
Job Requirement:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent relevant working experience
  • eClinicalworks (eCw) experience preferred
  • 2 years' experience in a medical office preferred
