Snapshot of Daily Duties Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history. Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician. Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms. Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians. Assist in maintaining general medical records. Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed. Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed. Will be crossed trained in FibroScans, Patient Check In, Scheduling and other specialized training. The Must Haves High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required. Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred. BLS certified required. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required. Ability to Float between other office locations - travel is required.
