Job Duties promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large; promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students; participate on university committees; assist with the annual University Strategic Planning Retreat; greet and direct visitors in a friendly and professional manner; answer and direct telephone calls; maintain calendars; provide office support (typing, filing, copying, etc.) as required; open and sort mail; maintain records and files; initiate action as necessary for the handling of work items and issues particularly those related to departmental faculty, staff, and students; assist in resolving problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department; assist in the budget planning process each year in coordination with the BMS assistant at LMU-Harrogate; maintain divisional/departmental budgetary records and files at LMU-Knoxville; coordinate travel for BMS faculty members; coordinate research ordering for DCOM at LMU-Knoxville faculty; maintain MSDS files for DCOM at LMU-Knoxville research; assist in the interview process by scheduling candidate interviews and arranging travel; order and maintain office supplies; operate and maintain office equipment; maintain conscientious work ethic to include punctuality, professional dress and demeanor; take minutes for division and department meetings or as assigned; edit clocking times in EMMA as needed for hourly staff members in the department; assist in proctoring exams; complete institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University; and perform other duties as assigned.
