Job Description

401(k) Free food & snacks Paid time off Expanding Musculoskeletal & Sports Medicine Clinic in Brentwood is seeking an energetic, organized, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to help with phones and be a float when call outs to be the welcoming face of our practice. The days to work are M-F with Friday being a 1/2 day. Will have to float to Mount Juliet on Wednesdays and Thursdays to do Accounts Receivable.
What You'll Do:
Greet patients with a warm, professional smile and create a positive first impression Manage a fast-paced schedule: check-ins, check-outs, appointment scheduling, and phone calls Verify insurance, collect co-pays, and handle patient billing questions Coordinate with physicians, physical therapists, and clinical staff to keep the day running smoothly Maintain accurate patient records in our EMR system (experience with [AthenaHealth, Epic, eClinicalWorks, etc.] a plus) Assist with light administrative tasks (scanning, faxing, referral coordination) ECW a plus
Who You Are:
Friendly, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoy helping people Able to multitask in a busy environment without dropping the ball Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills At least 1-2 years of medical front desk experience (orthopedics, physical therapy, or sports medicine experience strongly preferred) Proficient with computers and comfortable learning new software quickly Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
