How you'll contribute A Certified Medical Assistant who excels in this role: Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings. Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment. Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow. Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput. Documents patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards. Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Collaborative team approach (RNs, LPNs, CMAs) What we're looking for Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (required) National Medical Assistant Certification (required) AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) Handle with Care certification (preferred) More About Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski , part of Lifepoint Health, is a 95-bed facility, including 60 licensed acute care beds and 25 skilled nursing beds. The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services supported by a diverse and experienced medical staff. Clinical services include a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, and a 12-bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. In addition, the facility offers a Skilled Nursing Unit, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, five operating rooms, and two endoscopy suites. Diagnostic imaging capabilities include MRI, CT, PET/CT, mammography, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and X-ray. The 13-bay Emergency Department treats more than 15,000 patients annually.
