Medical Assistant Part Time/Seasonal Allen, TX 75013 Apply Overview Salary Range $17.00 Hourly Level Experienced Position Type Part Time Education Level High School/GED Category Health Care Apply Description Job description Part-time Medical Assistant (Seasonal, 8-week assignment) Company Description Legacy Orthopedics is a comprehensive orthopedic center located in Allen, TX that provides exceptional orthopedic care to patients experiencing musculoskeletal injuries, pain, or loss of joint function. We are searching for a part-time medical assistant to work two days per week in our clinic during Summer 2026. Role Description This is a part-time on-site role as a medical assistant at Legacy Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. The medical assistant will be responsible for assisting with clinical tasks such as obtaining histories, preparing patients for exams, applying durable medical equipment, and maintaining medical records. The medical assistant will also act as a scribe to our providers, documenting patient care, prescriptions, and communication with insurance companies. Qualifications Qualifications Gap-year students are strongly encouraged to apply Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and medical terminology Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and safety
