Medical Assistant

Job description: Overview Our Dermatology clinic in the Boerne and Fair Oaks area is looking for a friendly and caring Medical Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for greeting patients and assisting the Doctor with patient care. The ideal candidate preferably has previous dermatology clinical experience and is also certified in medical assisting. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and offers Health Insurance, 401k, PTO. Pay for this position ranges from $18-$21 per hour. Pay will be discussed during the interview process and based on prior experience. Duties Assist the healthcare provider with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications as directed by the physician. Prepare patients for examinations by providing necessary instructions and support. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using medical terminology. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, maintain a clean working environment, and adhere to HIPAA compliance. Other clinical/ administrative duties as needed. Requirements Knowledge of medication administration and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with dermatology is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Ability to work effectively in an outpatient setting while managing multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
