Corpus Christi, TX Job Details 12 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description As Medical Assistant you would be responsible for the coordination and delivery of patient care as directed by the facility physician and under the supervision of the facility nurse. This position works closely with both the clinical and administrative teams. Escorts the patient to the exam room and documents the reason for the visit Gathers vital signs, and medical history in the EHR. Facilitates Telehealth visits in collaboration with nurse and provider. Schedule all diagnostic tests and outpatient procedures. Calls patients to confirm appointments; reschedules appointments as needed. Maintain physician's schedules and appointment books. Open all mail and respond as necessary. Prepares charts for the outpatient procedures. Assists patients with questions regarding plan of care. Directs patient to proper channel. Assists the physician and or rad tech with specialized procedures as needed. Assists the nurses in the pre and post-procedure as needed. Assists patient with ambulation after bed rest is complete. Transports patients Helps turn over the procedure room between cases. Restocks and sanitizes the procedure room after the cases are finished. Cleans and restocks the pre/post holding area at the end of the day. Assists with various administrative tasks as needed. Assures authorization is collected prior to the procedure date. High School Diploma or GED required Medical office training course preferred Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting Exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally and 10-20 lbs. frequently
