Job Description

Now Hiring Dynamic Orthopedic Physical Therapy is hiring a medical assistant for the front office in an outpatient clinic. This is a part-time opportunity that requires the following schedule: Monday 8:30 am
  • 5:30 pm, Wednesday 8:30 am
  • 5:30 pm, and Thursday 8:30 am
  • 1:00 pm.
This position offers a starting pay between $9 and $11 per hour, with on-the-job training available. The outpatient clinic is located in Flour Bluff at 9929 SPID. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth clinical operations and exceptional patient service. Your energetic approach will help facilitate efficient clinic workflows, support medical staff, and enhance patient experiences in the outpatient clinic. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while developing your expertise in medical administration. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect and document patient payments, medical history, and current insurance information accurately during intake processes Complete accurate insurance verifications for each patient and coordinate with the billing department to ensure correct copayment and deductible amounts Manage patient records with precision, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies to facilitate billing, referrals, and follow-up appointments Assist with ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing purposes Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to infection control protocols in outpatient settings Requirements Proven experience supporting medical teams Knowledge of insurance verification procedures Familiarity with EHR systems and medical record management practices Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations Experience working in patient-centered environments Ability to perform scheduling and multitasking duties Knowledge of Google Workspace platforms Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments Join us as a Medical Administrative Assistant where your proactive spirit fuels exceptional patient care!
