In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support to pediatric patients and their families, ensuring smooth clinic operations and seamless referral processes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in pediatric healthcare, all while making a meaningful difference in young patients' lives. Responsibilities A position for a medical assistant with pediatric experience who will focus on services related to patient care. Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Support clinical staff with procedures such as vaccine administration Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing comfort in pediatric settings When necessary, manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications Qualifications Pediatrics experience mandatory. Experience with Office Practicum EMR will be a preferred advantage over other applicants. Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) required. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology necessary for accurate documentation and efficient workflow Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments As a small clinic of less than 7 staff members, interpersonal skills with co-workers is very important.
