The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, assisting physicians and healthcare providers, and managing administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in diverse specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing patient experiences and supporting clinical workflows within a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Assist with clinical procedures, including medication administration, wound care, and basic X-ray imaging. Support physicians during examinations and treatments in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings. Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and ensuring their comfort. Assist with ICD coding and documentation to facilitate billing processes. Support hospital experience requirements by managing patient flow in Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized units like PICU or Geriatrics. Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid clinical decision-making. Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper sterilization of equipment. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. Skills Strong knowledge of dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and medical-surgical practices. Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding and medical terminology. Experience working in inpatient settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized units like PICU or OR. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS). Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, intake assessments, X-ray support, and medication administration. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and administrative support. Effective communication skills to provide exceptional patient service across diverse populations. Prior clinic experience in outpatient settings preferred; hospital experience is advantageous. Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or emergency departments.
