Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care, with experience in various medical settings Buckner Elam Medical is female owned with a female family physican focusing on wellness and family health care.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Lead Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical settings. We are a small family practice so in this role you will need to multitask and be able to perform all duties that pertain to Medical Assisting from Triage to Admin. If you are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient service and have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, we encourage you to apply. We will like somone to run the back office
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine clinical tasks under the supervision of healthcare professionals
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures
  • Take vital signs, record patient information, and update medical records
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing ,we do adult venipuncure
  • Perform in office testing strep, flu, etc, and other in office testing
  • Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • we see newborns to geriatrics
  • Should be able to comfortable with all ages, be willing to work in a fast paced enviroment and work.
  • All medical assistants help with lab work, call backs, and other admin duties, including scribing and Medicare gaps.
  • EKG, venipuncture, and spirometries also done
  • newborn screenings
  • referrals and imaging , labs, lab callbacks, TVFC and other office duties

Requirements:
  • Valid certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy
  • Experience working 3 years in family practice or internal medicine
  • Ability to provide excellent patient service with empathy and compassion
