Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our medical facility. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures, along with the ability to work effectively in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients. Perform intake procedures including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and current medications. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations. Support the clinical team by collecting samples and other diagnostic tests as needed. Provide medical administrative support including coordinating care over phone, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling insurance documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as speciality offices, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient clinics. Uphold safety standards while assisting in emergency medicine scenarios or during inpatient care. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting (clinic experience preferred). Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques. Familiarity with EHR systems and ability to accurately document patient information. Experience in various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, PICU, OR experience, emergency medicine, or medical-surgical is highly desirable. Ability to perform tasks related to vital signs monitoring and medication administration effectively. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical tasks and administrative responsibilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of independent decision-making when necessary.
