Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities Collect and document patient information including vital signs, chief complaints, medications, allergies, and health screening data. Prepare patients for examinations and clinical procedures. Administer injections, treatments, and other clinical services as directed by physicians and within scope of practice. Assist providers during patient visits and procedures. Monitor and document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record. Preventative Care Coordination Conduct pre-visit planning and follow-up activities to support preventative healthcare initiatives. Perform outreach calls and appointment reminders to improve patient engagement and compliance. Coordinate preventative screenings and follow-up care as directed. Assist patients in obtaining necessary medical equipment and supplies, including durable medical equipment (DME), diabetic testing supplies, Accu-Chek monitors, test strips, and diabetic shoes. Patient Support & Education Address patient questions regarding clinical services and care plans. Collaborate with providers and support staff to obtain information and resources for patients. Provide educational materials and patient resources as needed. Distribute and collect patient surveys and feedback. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) certification. Current BLS/CPR certification. Basic understanding of patient care procedures and clinical workflows. Ability to follow established procedures and protocols. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or physician office setting. Experience working with Medicare, UnitedHealthcare, or other healthcare insurance programs. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
