Clinical Supervisor About Us We are a thriving and growing Integrative & Lifestyle Medicine practice in Dallas dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through primary care, weight management, preventive medicine, functional medicine, and wellness-focused treatments. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dependable Medical Assistant who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences while supporting both clinical and administrative operations. Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties Perform duties within the Medical Assistant scope of practice. Room patients, obtain vital signs, medical histories, medication reconciliation, and accurately document in the EMR. Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, injections, EKGs, spirometry, and in-house laboratory testing. Process laboratory, imaging, referral, and medication refill requests. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, treatment areas, and clinical equipment. Sterilize instruments and follow infection prevention and safety protocols. Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient documentation, forms, and consents. Patient Experience & Practice Growth Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, patient-centered experience. Educate patients about the clinic's services, preventive care, wellness programs, occupational health services, and provider recommendations to help them make informed healthcare decisions. Answer patient questions regarding available services and assist patients in understanding recommended treatments, screenings, and follow-up care. Reinforce provider recommendations by helping patients understand the value of preventive care and available services that may support their health goals. Encourage patient engagement, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care through education, communication, and relationship-building. Contribute to practice growth by providing an outstanding patient experience and promoting awareness of clinic services in an educational, patient-focused manner. Administrative & Operational Duties Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up. Process referrals, imaging orders, DME requests, and medical documentation. Make outbound patient calls as directed by providers. Assist with front-office workflow, including answering phones, scanning documents, and fax management as needed. Monitor and maintain medical supply inventory and ensure clinical areas remain fully stocked. Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and clinic policies. Occupational Health Support (Training Available) Assist with DOT and Non-DOT occupational health services. Perform or assist with urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and specimen collection according to clinic protocols and applicable regulations. Complete occupational health documentation and required forms. Support employer-based health services and workplace testing programs. When assigned, perform observed DOT urine collections in accordance with applicable federal regulations and clinic policies. Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic. Authorized to work in the United States.
Proficiency with:
Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Practice Management Software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Google Meet).
Experience performing:
Injections, EKGs, Spirometry, In-House testings, Specimen collection Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Professional, dependable, and patient-focused. Preferred Medical Assistant certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, occupational medicine, urgent care, or integrative medicine. Experience educating patients about healthcare services, preventive care, and treatment plans while supporting practice growth through outstanding patient engagement. Experience with DOT and Non-DOT occupational health services. Familiarity with urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and occupational health workflows. Ability to perform observed DOT urine collections in compliance with applicable federal regulations, when assigned. What We're Looking For Positive, energetic, and team-oriented.
