Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance information, and facilitate smooth check-in processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately for each patient Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including taking patient histories, preparing exam rooms, and supporting procedures like X-ray or medication administration Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to optimize provider availability and reduce patient wait times Support medical documentation by coding diagnoses with ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes and updating patient records with detailed notes on physiology, anatomy, and treatment plans Handle patient inquiries professionally via phone or in person, providing clear information about procedures or follow-up steps Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to safety protocols for inpatient, outpatient, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma center settings Assist with basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary and ensure compliance with hospital or clinic policies Experience Prior experience working in dermatology clinics, urgent care centers, hospital medicine units, or similar outpatient settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication protocols Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing purposes Proven ability to perform intake assessments, record vital signs accurately, and support complex medical workflows across diverse specialties Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment!
