Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing pediatric team. Pediatric experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for working with children and families. We are looking for someone who is seeking a long-term career home rather than a temporary position. Our ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Pediatrics can be fast-paced and rewarding, so the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude is essential. As a cross-trained clinic, all team members are expected to be willing to learn both clinical and front-office responsibilities. The ideal candidate is flexible and understands that assisting at the front desk may be necessary to support the needs of the clinic and ensure excellent patient care. Duties Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, vision, hearing screenings as appropriate. Accurately document patient information in the EMR. Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures. Administer vaccines, injections, medications, and treatments as directed by the provider. Perform point of care testing, specimen collection, and laboratory duties as needed. Maintain accurate vaccine records and assist with immunizations reviews. Prepare and stock exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Answer patient and parent questions professionally and direct concerns to the appropriate provider when necessary. Assist wtih scheduling appointments, referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks as needed. Follow all clinic policies, HIPPA regulations, infection control standards, and safety protocols. Experience Pediatric experience preferred but not required Medical Assistant experience preferred New graduates are encouraged to apply Must be willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced pediatric environment Experience with EMR is a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Pay:
$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
