Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced pediatric healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and families and will support daily clinical and administrative operations in a busy outpatient pediatric setting. Responsibilities Assist with pediatric patient intake, including collecting medical histories from parents/guardians and documenting symptoms accurately Measure and record vital signs for infants, children, and adolescents Prepare pediatric patients for examinations, procedures, and immunizations Assist providers during pediatric examinations and procedures, including vaccinations and minor treatments Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems Provide excellent patient and family support by answering questions and offering age-appropriate education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Assist with ICD coding and documentation to support billing and insurance processes Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly clinical environment in accordance with infection control protocols Support laboratory testing and specimen collection as needed Ensure efficient patient flow to support a high-volume pediatric clinic setting Skills Pediatric patient care experience Vaccine administration and immunization management Pediatric phlebotomy and specimen collection Accurate vital signs assessment for infants, children, and adolescents Knowledge of pediatric immunization schedules Strong communication and patient education skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented and compassionate approach to patient care Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year of pediatric medical assisting experience required. Experience administering pediatric vaccines required. Phlebotomy experience, including pediatric blood draws and specimen collection, preferred. Experience in pediatric, urgent care, or outpatient clinic settings strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pediatric clinical procedures. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and clinical documentation. Knowledge of pediatric immunization schedules and vaccine administration required. Current CPR certification preferred.
