Job Description

Clinical Assistant - Holistic Medical Practice Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and professional Clinical Assistant to provide direct support to the provider in a busy holistic medical practice. This role is integral to ensuring efficient clinical operations, accurate documentation, excellent patient communication, and seamless follow-through on treatment plans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to work closely with both patients and the provider in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provider Support Assist the provider with clinical documentation and chart note completion Accurately enter herbal protocols, supplements, treatment recommendations, and clinical information into the electronic health record (EHR) Ensure patient charts are complete, organized, and updated in a timely manner Support the provider during patient visits and clinical operations Assist with implementation of practice-specific clinical systems and workflows Patient Communication Provide exceptional customer service and professional patient support Communicate with patients in person, by phone, and through electronic messaging Conduct follow-up calls regarding laboratory results, treatment plans, herbal protocols, and provider recommendations Answer patient questions within established protocols and communicate concerns to the provider when appropriate Maintain clear, compassionate, and professional communication at all times Clinical Operations Prepare herbal and supplement orders as directed by the provider Assist with patient flow and daily clinic operations Maintain organization of treatment rooms, herb dispensary, and clinical supplies Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed Ensure clinical spaces remain organized, clean, and prepared throughout the day Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Spanish is a plus Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems Ability to learn new processes quickly Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment Dependability, punctuality, and consistent follow-through Comfort receiving direct feedback and implementing changes promptly Preferred Experience Medical Assistant, Clinical Assistant, healthcare support, or related experience Will Train Experience with EHR documentation and chart management Background in holistic, functional, integrative, naturopathic, chiropractic, or wellness-based healthcare settings preferred Familiarity with herbs, supplements, and natural medicine is helpful but not required
