We are seeking an experienced, team oriented medical assistant for a full time position in our very busy practice.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
Rooms patients, collects vitals, records patient histories Transcribes physician notes into computerized documentation systems Monitors, records and communicates patient treatment as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems Set up rooms for exams and procedures Carries out physician orders Instructs and educates patients Assists physicians and supports other nursing staff Skills needed: Previous experience in a physician's office (Otolaryngology experience is preferred) Fluent in medical terminology Proficient computer skills (we use the electronic health records system EMDS) Attentive, detail oriented Excellent communication skills Dependable, personable Self-starter, self motivated Follows directions Spanish speaking is preferred but not required Please submit your resume and cover letter expressing your interest in the position and why you feel you would be a good fit.
