Allergy clinic seeks medical assistant. New graduate with MA certificate (within past 90 days) preferred.

Responsibilities include:

prepare rooms for exams, greet and room patients, obtain patients' history, measure vital signs, perform routine diagnostic tests, give injections and other treatments, manage refills and phone calls, schedule appointments, check in & out patients, collect payments, verify insurance benefits, update medical records, perform clerical tasks, complete insurance forms, authorizations and precertifications, contact insurance companies as needed, communicate with medical billing company as needed, maintain office and patient records daily, maintain cleanliness and organization of rooms and med prep areas, and other tasks as assigned. Salary $15-18/hour. Benefits include paid time off, 401(k) with matching.
