In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support physicians with clinical procedures, and ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters. Your skills in medical assisting, patient service, and EHR documentation will play an important role in maintaining excellent patient care and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly detail-oriented, and works well as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities Prepare patients for appointments, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation Assist physicians with examinations, in-office procedures, and treatments Accurately document patient encounters, histories, exam findings, treatment plans, and orders in the EHR Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider Update patient records with results, correspondence, and clinical documentation Assist with training new hires as assigned by the Office Manager Maintain HIPAA compliance, patient confidentiality, and accurate documentation at all times Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and front office staff Maintain efficient patient flow and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Office Manager Qualifications Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred Medical office experience and strong knowledge of medical terminology EHR/EMR experience required or strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills Excellent communication and patient service skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and professional Comfortable receiving feedback and learning new processes Ability to work effectively with providers and clinical/front office teams Pain management experience is a plus
