McKinney, TX Job Details Full-time $19.23 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description The Medical Assistant is involved in both the clinical and administrative areas assisting behavioral clinic healthcare providers with patient care during face to face and telemedicine office visits. As well as handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. The Medical Assistant works under general supervision of the nursing supervisor providing clinical support to clinic prescribers and nursing. Responsibilities include patient scheduling, and check in. Documenting individual care interventions, LAI injections, phlebotomy, and client education. Assisting with dynamic clinic flow, and other duties as assigned to meet complex needs for clinic and patients served. Education, Training and Experience (including licensure and certification) Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders strongly preferred. 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistance in a clinic setting desired. Medical Assistant Certificate from one of the following required: 1. CMA -American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) 2. RMA—American Medical Technologists (AMT) 3. CCMA—National Health Career Association (NHA) 4. NRCMA through National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Be able to complete detailed, yet concise documentation on all services provided. Ability to write clearly and professionally. Can think clearly and logically. Knowledge of outpatient physical systems and treatment approaches.
