Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team for our interventional pain management clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in our outpatient clinic. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures. Strong candidates will have experience with scribing. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive care while ensuring a positive experience for patients. Duties Perform patient intake, including gathering medical histories and conducting initial assessments. Measure and record vital signs accurately. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with basic life support if necessary. Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures. Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Assist in documentation of treatment plans including scribing of clinic encounters. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with patients about their conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care regarding pain management and interventional therapies. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding. Experience in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinic settings is preferred. Experience with scribing is strongly preferred but not required. Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient documentation is essential. Ability to perform basic life support techniques and maintain current certification. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care delivery. Knowledge of orthopedics, neurosurgery, or pain management is preferred but not required.
