The ideal candidate will play a vital role in a small clinic setting with our one physician. We are looking for someone who works well with children and is able to handle the demand of the job, depending on patient load. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team. Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider, assist in patient procedures as needed.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and manage laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide educational material to patients, emphasizing the importance of follow-ups.
• Utilize basic knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support clinical assessments and description of symptoms.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient service, including answering phone calls, referring patients to various specialties, and handling patient concerns when applicable. Qualifications
• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is required, experience in a pediatric clinic is not required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and relevant systems.
• Proficiency in performing clinical tasks including taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting the team with patient tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members, with ability to work well in a small team setting.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required
