Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a clinical setting. This position involves assisting healthcare professionals with various medical tasks, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic tests. Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms. Educate patients on medication administration, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients, particularly in geriatrics and medical-surgical settings. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Experience in a hospital setting or familiarity with operating room (OR) procedures is a plus. Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medication administration protocols. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
