This role supports providers with clinical duties while helping deliver an excellent patient experience. Schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Current Medical Assistant certification required 1 to 3 years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting preferred Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and customer service skills Follows all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines Willingness to be cross-trained as front office as needed Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Job Functions Room patients and enter appropriate information into the EMR (vitals, medications, medical history, chief complaint) Obtain and record vital signs Perform EKGs as ordered by the provider Prepare and administer medications as directed (IM and/or PO, per scope and training) Assist providers with medical procedures Stock and clean exam rooms; maintain supplies and equipment Support patient check-in/check-out as needed, including collecting copays/deductibles/coinsurance Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager Job Type Full-time Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Work Location In personSimilar jobs in North Central, TX
