In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth and efficient patient visits by managing patient intake, performing phlebotomy and specimen collection, administering point-of-care tests (POCT), and assisting with clinical procedures. You will also be responsible for managing vaccine orders and inventory, maintaining lab equipment, and supporting clinical flow to minimize disruptions to the physician or nurse practitioner during patient appointments. Strong time management skills and a commitment to patient care excellence are essential. Responsibilities Support patient intake and ensure accurate documentation Order and administer vaccines using the Vaxcare system Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection with proper labeling and tracking Conduct point-of-care testing (POCT) and assist with clinical procedures Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient intake, injections, and case management activities in Athena Health EHR Uphold compliance and accountability in all documentation and processes Manage vaccine ordering, administration, and inventory Maintain and manage laboratory equipment and supplies Support clinical workflow and time management to ensure efficiency Minimize disruptions to the physician or nurse practitioner during patient visits Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification preferred Proven experience in phlebotomy and specimen collection Knowledge of point-of-care testing (POCT) procedures Experience assisting with clinical procedures and vaccine administration Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage lab equipment and maintain a clean, safe environment Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Join a supportive and fast-paced healthcare environment where you'll play a vital role in delivering quality patient care.
