Full Job Description Description:
Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part Time or Full-Time Medical Assistant/Derm Tech to join our growing team. The MA supports our exceptional dermatologists by providing both clinical and administrative care, including patient rooming, taking histories, assisting with biopsies, scribing in EMR, preparing surgical trays, and educating patients. They ensure clinic efficiency by managing supplies, sterilizing instruments, and handling pathology specimens.
Clinical Duties:
Rooming patients, recording vitals, reviewing medical histories, updating medications, and prepping for exams.
Procedural Assistance:
Assisting with skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic injections.
Scribing/Documentation:
Documenting patient encounters, including chief complaints and treatment plans in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Patient Education & Care:
Providing pre- and post-operative instructions, removing sutures, and applying dressings.
Administrative Duties:
Managing pathology logs, processing prior authorizations for medications, cleaning/sterilizing instruments, and restocking exam room
Skills and Qualifications:
Certification as Medical Assistant or Derm Tech Knowledge of Dermatological procedures is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and strong organizational skills We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
