Answer phones/schedule appointments/procedures/surgeries. Check in/check out/collect copays and balances. Clean and maintain exam and treatment rooms daily. Manage equipment and supply inventory. Serve as a liaison between physician and patient. Function as a team member including being flexible, able to work additional hours when needed and providing back up. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Responsible for assisting the provider with all hands-on patient care. Rooming patients, taking vitals and detailed patient histories, documenting all patient information into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Administer injections, assist with Pap Smears, and other in-office procedures. Call in prescriptions; obtain authorizations for medications, patient callbacks, lab follow-up, and other duties as assigned. Summary As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will utilize your core skills in medical administrative support, patient care, and knowledge of EHR systems to provide high-quality care and support to patients. Your premium skills in gynecology will enable you to excel in specialized medical settings. With relevant experience in outpatient care, as well as exposure to sterile procedures and phlebotomy , you will bring a diverse skill set to the role. Your expertise in conducting vital signs assessments and strong communication skills will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care.
