Work hours: PRN; Overnight and weekends Lab Department highlights: Opportunities for educational and career growth Excellent comradery and teamwork Attentive executive leadership team Ability to work on several projects or committee if there is a desire Ability to utilize hands on knowledge from theory Here's What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Six months' experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy PBT(ASCP)- Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred What You Will Do Performs daily review of results from the department For those entities performing phlebotomy, employee follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens Follows established laboratory test procedures Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity Additional perks of being a Texas Health Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits.
