Job Description
Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently recruiting for a Certified Medical Assistant in San Antonio, TX. This is an on-site opportunity. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:
Pay:
$22 to $24/hrType:
One year contract with opportunity for extension or full time offerSchedule:
Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM Specialty:

Floating to near by clinics may be required based on needPrimary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of relevant medical procedures (e.g., how to assess patient vital signs; how to analyze EKG tracing)
- Demonstrate understanding of medical terminology, precautions, and exposure risks (e.g., bloodborne pathogens)
- Demonstrate understanding relevant state and/or federal policies, regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and scope of practice
- Demonstrate understanding of internal company/department-specific protocols, procedures, policies, and workflows
- Demonstrate understanding of relevant computer systems (e.g., scheduling; practice management; records management; claims/billing)
- Translate/communicate medical terminology/information to customers in a manner that is clear, concise, and understandable
- Assess customer/patient understanding (e.

- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- Nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification
- Active BLS Certification
- Previous medical assistant experience
