Job Description
High Tech Family Care is hiring immediately for a Medical Assistant! We are looking for an experienced candidate with the ability to hit the ground running and not require extensive training at this time. If you do not have experience as a Medical Assistant/Back Office or Medical Front Desk Staff in a primary care environment, this role is likely not for you. We are hiring for both our Spring and Woodlands locations.
Responsibilities:
Room patients and obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, height, and weight Assist physicians with exams and in-office procedures Administer injections and immunizations as directed by the provider Perform EKGs, vision tests, and other basic diagnostic procedures Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper inventory of medical supplies Collect and label specimens for lab tests (e.g., urine, blood), and perform point-of-care testing Update and maintain accurate patient medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care instructions Call in prescriptions and manage prior authorizations as needed Support front office staff when necessary, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, or verifying insurance.Experience:
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent preferred) 2-3+ year of clinical back office experience (primary care preferred) Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar) Current BLS/CPR certification Excellent bedside manner and communication skills Excellent Medical Terminology knowledge Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy setting Team player with a positive, can-do attitude! Experience with phlebotomy is a plus Bilingual is a plus Experience with Aesthetics is a plusJob Type:
