Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in OB/GYN or Maternal Fetal Medicine. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care in a compassionate environment. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and performing intake assessments. Assist with medication administration and ensure accurate documentation of patient information in EHR systems. Support medical staff during examinations and procedures, including Amniocentesis, NSTS, etc. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to assist in patient evaluations. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient service across various departments. Conduct basic life support procedures as needed and respond effectively to emergencies. Participate in coding processes using ICD coding for accurate billing and record-keeping. Engage with patients to provide education on treatment plans and follow-up care requirements. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Experience in OB/GYN, L&D, or Maternal Fetal Medicine in preferred but not required. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions is essential. Knowledge of vital signs assessment, intake processes, and medication administration protocols. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding practices (ICD). Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while providing exceptional patient care.
